About the Trico STEAM Program
STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. The purpose of a STEAM program is to prepare our students for 21st-century careers. STEAM education allows students to apply creativity, critical thinking, design elements, the engineering process, science content and skills, and mathematics. Students are free to learn without limitations, express their creativity, learn from their mistakes, and explore what they are curious about. To truly prepare students for the 21st century, we need to equip them with skills they can expand upon and apply to careers and vocations that may not exist yet today. From coding and robotics to animations and digital storytelling to engineering and scientific discovery, our new program will challenge every student at Trico Elementary to stretch their minds. Check back to see how the program grows and evolves!
