We will again be having remote learning, Thursday, January 15, 2025. Hopefully, this is the end of the ice and snow.

We sent three 6th, 7th and 8th grade teams to Brain Games at JALC. There were 32 teams entered in this Olympics themed event. We will find out next week how we did but it was not in the top 6. I am sure we provided excellent competition. #BeAPioneer

No school again tomorrow, Monday, 1/13/25. Several roads are still iced over. Cross your fingers for Tuesday

Apparently Mother Nature didn't want her kids to go back to school yet. Trico will be closed for the rest of the week, 1/9 and 1/10. Hopefully, on Monday we will be back in "school mode". Please stay safe and warm until the snow and cold weather is gone.

Trico will again be closed tomorrow, 1/8/25, due to slick roads. I you have to get out, please stay safe.

No school tommorow, 1/7/25, due to icy/snowy roads. Students stay safe and warm.

Dear Trico Pioneer Families,
Well, we didn’t have a white Christmas; however, we might get more than we bargained for this week!
As students approach the return to school on Tuesday, January 7th, we want to update you regarding the inclement weather forecast for our region.
While we currently plan to return to school as scheduled, we will continue to track the weather and will make adjustments based on updated information.
Your child's safety and the safety of our staff remains our top priority.
Any school cancellations will be communicated by text messages, emails, local media, phone messages and social media posts with ample time to make all necessary arrangements. Practices and games will be decided on a daily basis. Lastly, when school is canceled, that includes students that attend alternative programs in neighboring communities.
Stay warm and stay safe!
Larry Lovel, Superintendent

Congratulations, Ella Jackson and Haylee Hagene, our students of the month of December.

Today was our last day before Christmas break. Students had several activities including sock wars, ornament making, gingerbread houses, to name a few. We ended the day with a dance. The students were very well behaved, and we are proud to be a pioneer. ##BeAPioneer

Thank you Mrs. Adams and Mr. Chapman for a great Christmas music concert. The junior high and senior high band, chorus, and performing arts students performed today.

The Trico Junior High will be having dress up days December 16-20. Please see attached flyer for more information.

Before we left for Thanksgiving break we held our 3rd Annual Turkey Olympics. It came down to a tie between the 7th grade and teachers. After a hard fought battle of rock-paper-scissors, the teachers won. Thanks to all that participated.
