
Thank you to Mrs. James, PBIS, and the TJHS faculty and staff for an excellent last day. We had inflatables, food truck, games, student awards, and a senior parade. I hope everyone has a great summer.

Eli Schaber and Aubrey Coleman represented TJHS well today. Eli shot a 90 while Aubrey shot a 95, earning her 8th place overall. A 2-hour rain delay made the day a bit more challenging. #BeAPioneer

With 804 points the 2023-2024 TRICO HIGH SCHOOL MUSIC DEPARTMENT is the IHSA CLASS C Music Sweepstakes State Champion AGAIN!
The Trico High School Music Department participated in the IHSA Organizational Contest this past weekend at Murphysboro High School Ensembles participating included our Jazz Band, Performing Arts, HS Band, and HS Chorus.
We have so much to be proud of in our run for the State Sweepstakes this year! It has truly been a privilege to watch our students' musical growth, dedication, perseverance, and support for one another throughout the competition.
We also want to say a special thank you to everyone who came to the competition performances in Murphysboro and in Carbondale to support our students and the Trico Music Department.





Congratulations to Aubrey Coleman and Zeke Gerler for being nominated for the IPA recognition dinner tonight held at SIU. Thank you for you exemplary representation of TJHS.

The golf match scheduled for today at Red Bud has been rescheduled for tomorrow, 3/19.


Congratulations to Wade Rees, IKWF state champion in the 178 pound division. We are proud of you for this amazing accomplishment.


The junior high golf season is about to begin. Tryouts will be Monday, March 11th. The students will be transported to the golf course from the school. Tryouts will end at 5:30 and students needed to be picked up at Pyramid Oaks (Scuttle Inn) Golf Course.

Yesterday, two detectives from the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, spoke to the 6th grade science classes. They learned about DNA, fingerprinting, and collecting evidence. The students then got to collect fingerprints. Thanks to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
